About the Artist
Caitlin Blaine is a cartoonist and illustrator from Southwest Missouri. She’s been creating art and stories for as long as she can remember. Her earliest influence in comics was Sonic the Hedgehog. She developed a huge art crush on Patrick “SPAZ” Spaziante and the way he illustrated covers. As a kid, she enjoyed creating characters and bringing those characters to life in stories. As she grew older, her art and storytelling would later be influenced by a myriad of Japanese manga, anime, and video games.
Caitlin graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in drawing and would later go on to have the opportunity to work for Black Lantern Studios, Inc. and help create 2D assets for Nintendo DS games. She’s also gone on to work with other clients on t-shirt designs and character concepts. Caitlin specializes in creating art digitally and has 15+ years of experience with Adobe Photoshop. She does enjoy dabbling with traditional mediums from time to time as well.
Caitlin is currently working on Moxie, a fantasy-genre webcomic, which can be read at moxiecomic.com. When she isn’t busy drawing comic pages for Moxie or working with clients, Caitlin loves to spend time with her awesome husband and their many fur children. If she doesn’t have a stylus in her hand, she is most likely relaxing with some Netflix, rolling up some dice for an epic D&D game, attempting to have a green thumb in the garden, or enjoying a nap. She loves the color teal, hot cups of chai tea, cats, is a firm believer in the oxford comma, and a follower of Jesus Christ.
